United for Kids Foundation wins $20,000 in Chase Community Giving Competition

After competing with over 500,000 other charities in a very tight race, which began on June 15 2010, United for Kids Foundation (UKF) has emerged as one of the 200 finalists in this summer's Chase Bank Community Giving Competition.

http://apps.facebook.com/chasecommunitygiving/leaderboard

UKF gathered a total of 1,558 votes to finish in the 178th position. We are appreciative of the efforts of all those who took time to vote and campaign for votes on our behalf, and believe that this grant will boost our ability to begin working with many children from low income families in Nigeria who are attending public schools, our goal is to invest in materials that will improve reading, math and information technology skills among the children.

Dear Friends:

We (United for Kids Foundation) delivered classrooom furniture to the teachers at Adebule Primary School Somolu this month, and we are currently working on getting the staff/pupils access to safe and clean water. However, there is still a long road ahead, so please support us by spreading the word and by going to the support page on our website: www.unitedforkidsfoundation.org

We made 31% more in 2009... Thank You!

Dear Friends:

On behalf of the children we 'work for', we will like to thank you for helping us grow our revenue by 31% in spite of the global economic recession in 2009. Our income increased from N4.8m in 2008 to N6.3m in 2009. Please see details of our financial activities for the year on our website: www.unitedforkidsfoundation.org.

We are planning for a bigger growth in 2010, and hope for your support to be able to achieve it. Please invite your friends, colleagues and family members to join us by sending a blank email to firstorphanage- subscribe@ yahoogroups. com.

Thank you and God bless you!
